[VOICE, INO]
[A loud, familiar voice would be heard throughout the network today. Good thing it's not so early in the morning when it hollers or there'd be a lot of ruined mornings today despite the important announcement.]

Hey, Luceti! We've all had a lot of drama these past few days so, what do you all say about a little party? It's Chouji's birthday today and, of course, that needs celebrating!

Come by the first community building and you'll find the happenings on the fourth floor. See you there!

[ACTION]
It was only a little bit of a surprise to Chouji when he received an invitation to his own birthday party, delivered to the apartment door. These were things you just had to expect and accept with Ino as a teammate. Everyone on the floor along with Kiba and Asuma received paper invitations. Then he heard her network post, inviting pretty much everyone in the village. Ino.

He'd laughed and grinned when he woke up to a knock on the apartment door and the smell of chips that morning, a purple whirlwind demanding entrance to the apartment so she could decorate it. A glance down the hallway showed a trail of butterfly decorations, marking the path of Hurricane Ino.

Chouji gladly spent half of his birthday in the kitchen, likewise decorated with butterflies, cooking for his own party. He'd always been the team's cook, and there was no reason for that to change just because it was his party.

By dinnertime, the common areas as well as Chouji, Shikamaru, and Masaomi's apartment held enough potato chips to feed an army even without all the food Chouji cooked. Barbecue, of course, along with vegetables, rice, fish, chicken curry, miso soup, and one or two desserts. He made sure to include pudding, his thanks to Ino for her thought and effort.

Now they just needed some guests to help eat it all.

[Her smile turns a little sheepish. Is it her or this girl resembles Katara a little? Well, anyway, Ino's sure they're not related. This girl's a total slob.]

I just hope we don't run out of food for you. [Because you're totally the most important guest, yessir.]

[precipitous]

[ OBVIOUSLY. I mean, she's the Avatar, and everything. Or - one of the Avatars, at least. ]

I'll try to leave a little left over for everyone else. [ She grins cheekily. ] I'm Korra, by the way.

[floralogy]

[Gosh, we have two Avatars in this party. WE ARE SO HONORED SOBS.]

I'll hold your word on that. [Teasing smile goes here.] Nice to meet you, Korra. I'm Ino.

[precipitous]

[ Damn straight! ]

Ino, huh? [ She would shake her hand, but you know...eating. Priorities. ] You a ninja, too?

[floralogy]

[Oh, no need for shaking. Ino understands priorities. She has a teammate who also eats a lot.]

I am. I'm a teammate to Shikamaru and Chouji. You can say I'm the beautiful rose among the thorns!

[precipitous]

[ That rings a bell - Chouji had mentioned his team the first time they met. Now Korra's become acquainted with all members of that team. ]

Gotta ask, how do you put up with being on a team with those two? [ Her tone is entirely teasing, though. She likes Chouji and Shikamaru pretty well, turns out. ]

[floralogy]

[Feel honored to meet the most fantastic team, Korra!! Ino snorts at her question, though.]

Funny you should say that because I keep asking myself the same thing all these years. [Hee, she knows she's teasing so she might as well tease back.] Maybe it's just a matter of showing them who's boss.

[precipitous]

[ Ha. Well put. ] So you're the leader of the team, huh? Sounds about right.

[floralogy]

[A little smirk.] It's not as if they have a choice. They need me to keep them in line. [Just like what she promised to Asuma.]

[precipitous]

[ A sagely nod. ] Most boys do. My team? The exact same way.

[ Except Korra totally doesn't keep them in line at all. ]

[floralogy]

[A snort.] Seriously? And here I thought they'd deviate somehow. Why, what's the worst thing they did?

[What no, exercise your right as a troublesome woman!]

[precipitous]

One time Bolin got kidnapped by equalists when he was trying to pick up some extra cash. We had to rescue him from a huge secret rally that almost cost us our bending.

[ She brags about it now, but it had been pretty horrible at the time. ]

[floralogy]

Sounds to me like he's one huge troublemaker. [Pull that shit to Ino and he won't hear the end of it.]

[precipitous]

He didn't mean to get mixed up in all that. [ She shrugs nonchalantly. ] Besides, rescuing him was kind of fun.

[floralogy]

Did you make sure he didn't hear the end of it, though?

[precipitous]

Of course. I wouldn't be a good team leader if I didn't.
